Johnny Sullivan has a passion for fitness and training. He has been a personal trainer for 14 years, with a specialty in creating a realistic and personalized program for each client so they reach their goals quickly and learn to maintain them through healthy eating and exercising. He focuses on the education of his clients so they can control their physique and performance without being limited to a strict diet plan. Johnny has worked with all types of clients from weight-loss to competitive athletes. He loves to work with clients who desire a specific body change and those who wish to create the physique they’ve always wanted, at any age. Johnny has his BS in Exercise Sport Science and Sport Nutrition, as well as multiple certifications: NASM-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, NCCPT. He has an exceptional success rate with clients, teaching even the most experienced gym-goer new techniques to target specific muscles and problem areas. Ed has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with over 25 years’ experience. Ed is a “High Energy” instructor who has taught SKI FIT, TENNIS FIT, RUNNER FIT and “LIFE FIT” boot camps throughout the Treasure Valley. In Ed’s free time you can find him training for a triathlon, on a tennis court, skiing with his family or fly-fishing on one of Idaho’s amazing rivers. Ed’s favorite exercise tip is simple: “Be active every day, to stay active for life because fitness is the only “fountain of youth.”
My top priority is getting my clients the results they desire through educating them on how to master their body and helping them create a lifestyle that incorporates their fitness goals into their daily routine. When it comes to any fitness journey, there are 3 pillars of health that I coach my clients through: Strategy, Mindset, and Accountability. With the right strategy, reaching goals becomes much simpler. In any given journey, mindset is what will carry you through the hard times and I help build that mindset so my client is unstoppable. Lastly, accountability is the last piece in which I make sure to hold my client to a higher standard so they are fully committed and we make sure they stay the course. My goal is to help my clients realize their potential and push them to becoming the best version of themselves.

As a nationally ranked collegiate athlete, Stewart has a deep understanding of athletic training. A younger trainer, he brings a lot of energy to the table if it’s one on one with clients, or leading one of The Gym’s high intensity classes. Stewart’s primary focus is on strength and conditioning, and teaching clients to use the brain to train as efficiently as possible. Stewart enjoys working with all types of clients and the challenge that each individual can bring to the table, whether that’s for the playing field, or overall health and wellness.
Spin/ Yoga/ Bootcamp Instructor
Emily came into the fitness world in 2013 through teaching Yoga after finishing college at Seattle University. Initially she wanted to pursue a career in counseling, but soon realized that MOVEMENT was a better alternative and offered similar benefits, and was able to reach more people at a given time. Since then she has evolved into to teaching across the fitness spectrum: Spin, Pilates, Barre, Kettlebells, and multiple styles of Yoga. She joined THEGYM team at the end of 2016 and teaches Spin and Spinyasa. She is currently pursing a Master’s in Kinesiology at BSU. In Emily’s classes you can expect to work hard, maybe learn something about yourself in the process, and use the freedom of movement to have some fun!

Austin is widely known for his aptitude in functional training, and for his enthusiasm and knowledge for implementing strength training modalities that can transfer from the training studio to daily living. With years beyond his age in the fitness industry, Austin’s boundless energy to his caring dedication to each client, all combine to produce effective results and the experience his clients enjoy. As an athlete his whole life, Austin continues to challenge himself applying his training methods to expand his very own conditioning and physique. His eagerness to compete has lead him to the sport of Triathlon, and is a two-time 70.3 IronMan finisher. Growing up in Oregon also nurtured his active way of life, taking his fitness out of the gym and into nature including hiking, trail running, mtn.biking, horseback riding, StandUp Paddleboarding , snowboarding, and is an avid outdoorsman. This proving that he not only teaches a healthy lifestyle – he lives it! Most importantly, Austin’s philosophy is rooted in education. He proudly graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a degree in Exercise Science, has been certified by National Acadamy of Sports Medicine, and most recently Suples Fit Level 1 certified. He continues to study biomechanics, physiology, and training techniques and disciplines from everything from yoga to MMA. This expansive knowledge of fitness is what places Austin in the forefront of Personal Training in Idaho.
